Narrated in English, Swahili, Portuguese and French (for East Africa, Mozambique, Angola and West African countries).
Elephants in Peril has been made primarily for an African audience. It is hard hitting and will be found by many people in the West to be too graphic.
African and Asian audiences are more exposed to the realities of the poaching/ivory story so they need to be hit hard before they take note.
The film charts the poaching of elephants in Tsavo, through the years, ending with the situation as it was in 2014. Although, the situation in Kenya is more under control at the present time Elephants in Peril will be a reminder of what could still re-emerge if controls are relaxed.
